Police from the Zamfara state Police command has 16 kidnapped victims includes an innocent 3-month-old baby. The kidnapped victims were rescued on Saturday, October 2 and was made known by the Zamfara state police commissioner, Ayuba Elkana while briefing newsmen on Saturday evening.

 

According to the police commissioner, it was as a result of security measures put in place by the state government that led to current success or locating and rescuing the kidnap victims which also includes an elder brother to Zamfara speaker.

“As a result of the current pressure put to the bandits on no food supply, no petrol and denial of access to free movement, police and other security agencies were able to achieve more successes.”

 

It was gathered that an elder brother to the Speaker’s father, Alhaji Dahiru Saraki was also released by the bandits earlier. Although the Speaker’s father, Muazu Magarya, who was kidnapped with his wife, is still in the kidnappers’ den.
