Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has promised he will be giving 250,000 to the Super Eagles squad if they lift the 2021 AFCON Trophy in Cameroun.

This is coming after billionaire and ceo of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, promised the Super Eagles team ₦10m for every goal they score in the tournament, after their impressive start at the tournament with a 1-0 win against Egypt, in their opening Group D match.

 
 

Femi Otedola’s promise to the Super Eagles was delivered to the squad by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, who represented CACOVID during a visit to the team’s camp in Cameroun.

 

Emefiele, also encouraged and praised the team for their highly impressive performance at the ongoing AFCON, adding that CACOVID has increased the amount for every goal scored to $50,000 in the round of 16.

“During the meeting, I had with the captain (Ahmed Musa) and the coach (Austin Eguavoen), I delivered a message from CACOVID and the message is that, for every goal that is scored, the team will receive the naira equivalent of $20,000 so far, you have earned for yourself the naira equivalent of $120,000.
