Hon. Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, The Accord Party candidate for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal constituency in Oyo State, died on Sunday December 4, a few hours after attending a political function.

A video sighted on Facebook shows Ogunmola dancing at the function before he died. The late politician was the caretaker chairman of Atisbo Local Government under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

According to one of his close associates, Ogunmola complained of chest pain after the political rally held at his constituency.

A statement by Bolaji Tunji, the Director of Media, Bayo Adelabu Campaign Organisation (BACO), said Ogunmola died on Sunday night following a minor complaint of chest pain.
