The 22-year-old Napoli and Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has been named Serie A Player of the Month for September due to his amazing start to the 2021-22 season.

The Napoli and Super Eagle’s Striker surpassed Nicolo Barella of Inter Milan and Brahim Diaz of AC Milan’s including Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura to the claim the Serie A Player of the Month award which wa organised by the Italian Footballers’ Association.
Victor Osimhen in Napoli scored seven goals in six matches across all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s side in September. After he failed to hit the target in Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Juventus on September 11, the former Lille striker scored at least a goal in each of the three league matches he played later.

Osimhen’s brilliance in always putting the ball at the back of the net help steer Napoli to the top of the Serie A table and with their recent form and records, it doesn’t look they’re going to drop from the top flight, especially after raking 21 points from seven games.
“Sent to the vote by the editorial team of the Last Man, together with other decisive players in the good start of their teams (Barella, Brahim Diaz and Bonaventura), Osimhen won with more than half of the total votes,” read a statement on the AIC website. “If what the fans, all the fans, want is for their centre forward to be a moving train, well no one in Serie A comes closer than him to embody this ideal.
