
The National Emergency Management (NEMA) has confirmed that about 5 persons have been confirmed dead at the 3-storey building that collapsed at Ibadan street in Ebute Metta, Lagos state.

While NEMA confirmed that 23 persons have been successfully rescued from the rubbles, the agency noted that the 5 deceased persons include three males and two females, and many are still feared to be trapped under the rubbles.
One of rescued survivors who identified himself as Dauda Alli, confirmed that the building was already distressed before its eventual collapse.
NEMA, LASEMA, Fire Service, and other emergency teams on ground. An excavator is also working and gently sifting through the debris in search of survivors.
