Anti war Protesters Arrested and Detained by the Police in St. Petersburg

A number of Russians who have shown their disapproval over the invasion of the Russian military into Ukraine, under the command of Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has been arrested in St. Petersburg.

Reports by the Independent monitoring group OVD-Info says that over 7,000 anti-war protesters, have been arrested and detained in Russia, since the war/invasion began 7days ago, on 24th February, 2022.

 

LatestNGnews.com reported earlier that some primary school kids in Russia were between the ages of 5 and 8 were arrested on Wednesday by the police for protesting and waving an anti-war placards

 

The war going on between Russia and Ukraine has crippled almost all economic activities in both nations, with Russia receiving most of the economic sanctions from tier1 countries like USA and UK.

Some multi-billion dollar companies like  Maersk and Adidas, have reportedly suspended/withdrawn their operations in Russia, due to those sanctions.
