Two Herbalists have been arrested by the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in Oyo, and 24 Internet Fraudsters Over Cybercrime, who are believed to be their clients.

 
 
 

The arrest of the traditional herbalists and the 22 fraudsters was disclosed by Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the commission’s Spokesperson, in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Friday.

 
 

Uwujaren said that the two self-acclaimed herbalists were arrested on Friday at Soka area of Ibadan over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud.

 
 
 

He said that they were arrested alongside 24 others, four of whom claimed to be students of Lead City University. Uwujaren said that 22 of the suspects have been indicted by their ongoing investigation.

 
 
 

He said that the suspects were arrested following verified intelligence on their alleged involvement in cyber fraud. Uwujaren listed items recovered from them as cars, mobile phones, television sets, PlayStation 5, laptops, among others.
