What started as a peaceful morning in Ojodu area in Lagos state quickly turned into chaotic afternoon as trailer suffered suffered brake failure and slammed into secondary school children who were going home from school.

 
 
 

An unspecified number of the secondary school students were killed in the accident at the spot which led to an instant rioting and general civil unrest as other students retaliated and started burning down the truck and some other taxis.

The Lagos state police command has drafted some of its men to the area to restore law and order.

None of the students’ name were released to the press
