An electric transformer cable thief has been nabbed by the village youths of a community in Bayelsa state.

 
 

The cable thief who gave his name as Oyimbo Daniel during interrogation by youths pleaded guilty and asked for mercy in the spirit of Christmas.

 
 

According to an eyewitness who is a resident of the community said he was arrested around 1am on 24th December by the youths of Emakalakala community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

 
 

He also confessed that he has been vandalizing and several stealing cables supplying electricity to the community. 

 
 
 

He was paraded by the youths, flogged and was later set free after he named the cable dealers he sells the vandalized cables to.
