A suspected transformer cable thief has reportedly died from electrocution while making an attempt to vandalize a transformer cable in the Isale Agbede, Lagos island area of Lagos state.

 

The sad news was shared by a Twitter user, Teewhy @hartunday. he also shared a video of the deceased positioned by the side of the transformer, said he was electrocuted after the electricity distribution company restored power while he was tampering with the transformer.

 

His tweet reads;

”This guys here tried to steal a cable from a transformer panel but unfortunately NEPA brought the light and he was electrocuted till death. It happened somewhere around Lagos island.”

 

 

 

There’s been several cases of transformer cable thieves been electrocuted to death while trying to steal a transformer cable, but several of these perpetrators of these crimes don’t seem to learn their lessons.
