A full load of heavy duty truck carrying bags of rice which is said to be Governor Obiano rice has fallen along while on transit, at Agulu lake, Anambra state. The incident happened on Tuesday, 14th December 2021.

 
 

A good Samaritan shared a video obtained by LatestNGnews.com called on concerned parties including the local authorities, to converge on the scene.

 
 
 

It is estimated that the trailer was carrying in its bucket, between 1000 – 2000 bags of rice which according reports, was meant for civil servants in the state.

 
 
 

In the video, the good Samaritan who didn’t share his name maintained that the bags of rice was still untouched as the people of Agulu were responsible people.

 
 
 

He stressed that if this were to be in some parts of the country, that the bags of rice would’ve all been looted shortly after the trailer fell.

 
 
 

LatestNGnews.com gathered that 1 person died at the incident while unspecified number of persons were unconscious and have been taken to the hospital.

 
 

He called on Gov. Obiano and Anambra state Gov-elect Prof CC Soludo to come and know what to do about the bags of rice, as it’s safety isn’t guaranteed because they’re in the open.

 

The good Samaritan also lamented on the high frequency of accident involving heavy duty trucks which has been happening along the Agulu lake road.
