Traditional Ruler in Imo State Eze Edwin Azike, murdered 24 hours after abduction

A lifeless body of Eze Edwin Azike, the traditional ruler of the Atta ancient kingdom in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State has been found in a car, barely 24 hours he was kidnapped by unknown assailants and declared missing.

Michael Abattam who is the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in the state confirmed this death to the newsmen in Owerri on Friday afternoon. In his words;

 
 

 “Yes, the man was killed and his body found in a car. The investigation has commenced getting the full details.”

 
 

LatestNgnews.com correspondent in Mbaitoli who visited the community gathered from the villagers that their has been unrest in the community since the Eze Edwin Azike was kidnapped, and now it has gotten worse after some people killed him and dumped his body in a car.

However, a source close to the office of the Imo State Chairman of the traditional rulers, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, told LatestNGnews.com that an emergency meeting has been summoned to discuss the matter.
