Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte Charged With improper Conduct by FA

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte, football coaches of Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur, has been charged by the English Football Association after both managers had a clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 14, 2022, following a 2-2 draw.

Both managers who already had a rift between them, had Yellow cards shown to them at the second half of the game as warning which was supposed to caution them against further misconducts, both attracted red cards at the end of the game, by referee Anthony Taylor, shortly after Harry Kane’s stoppage time equalizer.

 

An FA spokesman who announced the charge on Monday said:

“Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have both been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3, following the Premier League fixture between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022.

 

It is alleged that the behaviour of both managers was improper following the end of the fixture. Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have until Thursday 18 August 2022 to provide their respective responses.”

 

The FA is also investigating Tuchel’s comments after the German coach slammed match referee, Taylor, for his decisions.

 

 

While Spurs fans are alredy calling on FA to sanction only Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, the announcement according to the English Football Association, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte both have till Thursday, August 18, 2022, to answer to these charges and present their explanations

Tuchel accused Taylor and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) of making wrong decisions which ultimately helped Spurs come away from Stamford Bridge with a point Speaking after the match on on referee decisions , Chelsea coach, THOMAS TUCHEL said;

 

 

Both goals should not stand. Only one team deserved to win, that was us. I don’t know how many tactical fouls Hojbjerg and Bentancur did today. Since when can we pull hair in a football match? They checked and nothing happened, absolutely ridiculous.
