She stressed that the only thing that people would say when a person dies is RIP and condolences, it won’t bring the dead back, neither will it undo the harms of the emotional and physical abuse which the victim had endured till death.

She urged fellow ladies who are facing any form of physical abuse to not die in silent, but should rather speak up and ask for help. Kate Hensahw made this call on Sunday morning, while reacting to the painful demise of popular gospel musician, Sister Blessing Osinachi Nwachukwu.

Posting on her IG page on Sunday afternoon, the 51-year-old, award wining actress and mother of 1, streeded that violonce against anybody, whether man or woman or child is totally wrong. She said;

The fear of what people will say should NEVER be considered when we are faced with life threatening situations, even if they are family, pastors, doctors, whoever!!!  VIOLENCE against anyone, woman, man, child should NEVER EVER be tolerated!!

It is good to be enraged and outraged at this situation but let it not be just for a moment but for ALL TIMES!
.
Seek help and if things don’t work out,
LEAVE so you can LIVE!!
.

Support the work the NGOs are doing in whatever way you can.
They have data and you will be shocked by the numbers .
.
Lagos State I can say has a very active law against Domestic Violence.
So also Ekiti State.
Those are the few I know of.

.
NEVER SHAME the victims instead offer support and kind words.
Let them know you are there for them..

Let the SHAME go to the ABUSER!

It’s never easy to just get up and leave..

I know what I am saying..
.
#RIP #osinachinwachukwu🙏
