Super Falconets Defeat South Korea

The Nigeria Super Falconets has defeat South Korea in a thrilling 1nil win in a match which was played on Monday morning, August 15, 2022.



With this win the Nigeria’s Falconets have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 10th FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.



According to Complete Sports, the Falconets made their first attempt to score a goal in the third minute through Bashirat Amoo, who tried a long-range effort from a free kick but was calmly saved by South Korea keeper Kim Kyeong-Hee.



The falconets snatched a late minute goal which came from Esther Onyenezide’s long range shot to seal the win for team Nigeria and solidifying their stay in the tournament after they defeated France last week in the Group C clash. 


The two-time U-20 World Cup finalists will take on Canada on Thursday in the group’s last match.


Nigeria’s possible quarter-final opponents could be the defending champions Japan, The Netherlands, USA
