
Multiple streets in Imo state has been deserted after President Buhari’s jet landed at Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport by 10.46 am, as he tours the state again on a one-day work visit to commission / inaugurate the Owerri Orlu road.

Shops, markets, fuel stations, large and small businesses, etc, were shut during the visit which coincided with the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), as its former leader, Mazi Nnmadi Kanu appear in court today.
Buhari was received by his host, Governor Hope Uzodimma, several top government officials and traditional rulers. The president after inspecting guard of honour mounted by the armed forces boarded a chopper to Orlu to inaugurate the Owerri Orlu road. He was accompanied by his host, Uzodimma.

The president is expected to visit Amaraku to inaugurate the Owerri-Okigwe road. He would also inaugurate the refurbished Imo State House of Assembly.
This is the the second time president Buhari will be visiting Imo state, and all the streets, markets, and public place are deserted
