A young Nigerian lady whose name was given as Chinenye Ajunwa has died after being hit by a stray bullet as unknown gunmen and the Nigerian military engage in a fierce gun battle in Ebem Ohafia, headquarter of Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia. 

 

 

Chinenye died from a stray bullet during the gun duel between soldiers and hoodlums in the community on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

 

 

The deceased said to be from Amuta in Isuikwuato local government area resident in Ohafia, owned a shop in the community. According to The Nation, the lady, who was with her father during the gun duel, died before help could come her way. 

 

 

A facebook user, Arua Chinyere Ofuche, shared the news on her page on Wednesday evening, as she claimed that her friend was friend, Chinenye Ajunwa, was killed by the soldiers.

 

 

While she raised an alarm that the they’re being killed by soldiers, she also blamed former president Goodluck Johnathan, and said that the former head of state brought the Ohafia community more harm than good. Her post reads;

 

 

Ohafia community need there peaceful life back, how can soldiers be killing us, yet the whole nation is silent, Abia State is silent, Goodluck Jonathan you brought more harm to Ohafia than good, Damsel my tears are rolling down
