Skit Maker and Comedian, Cute Abiola Re-Unites With his family After Serving 1-month Punishment From Nigerian Navy

Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Cute Abiola has been freed by the Nigerian Navy. He was freed on Sunday and was reunited with his family on Monday, after serving a serving one-month ‘extra duty’ for violating the agency’s policy on social media.

Fatai Adebanjo who is a legal counsellor to cute Abiola confirmed the development to LatestNGnews.com on Monday evening. Ahmad was reported missing last month after he went to the office and never returned home. 

 
 

However, the Nigerian Navy later came out to clarify that its personnel, OSCOMP Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Lawyer Kunle was detained for wearing police uniform in one of his skits and for ridiculing the Nigeria Police Force in the process.

He was, however, was given a light punishment of a ‘one-month extra duty’ after a military trial, according to naval spokesperson, Commodore Suleman Dahun.

 
 

“Cute Abiola has been placed on one-month extra duty after he was tried. He will be in charge of cleanship; supervising painting, electricians, carpentry, cutting of grasses, and others. He will be supervising civilians,” Dahun had said.
