In a tweet he shared, Sani noted that they ‘promised to lift 100m people out of poverty, but threw 133m into deeper poverty.’

This tweet came after a new report by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the National Social Safety-Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), revealed that about 130m people are now living in poverty in Nigeria
