Saudi Arabia Joins UK, Indonesia, Canada and Others, Bans all Flights from Nigeria Due to Fear and Spread of Omicron,

The Saudi government has joined the British, Canadian, Indonesian governments, etc. to bar all flights from and to Nigeria till further notice due to the fear and spread of the the new Coronavirus variant, Omicron.
Sources to Daily Trust revealed to the publication that there was an order restrict flights from  the the consulate of Saudi Arabia in Kano to stop all flights from or to Nigeria until a handle is gotten over Omicron.
Daily Trust also reported that there was an official who spoke in anonymity to the publication at the Kano Airport, confirming that a circular was issued, directing that all lesser Hajj trips should be cancelled.



“Yes it is true because a circular was issued that all Lesser Hajj flights should be canceled and there will be no more flights from Nigeria until further notice. “I think they are following suit the decision of other countries like UK to prevent against having the virus in the kingdom.”

It was also gathered that the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia later confirmed the flight suspension in a circular to all airlines operating in the Saudi Kingdom.
