Sakina Bello Abductors Demand ₦100m ransom

Sakina Bello is a 300-Level student of Bayero University, Kano, who unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers  abducted Tuesday, 5th October  while commuting between Janbulo and Rijiyar Zaki area of the Kano metropolis.

 

Her  abductors later called on Wednesday morning, October 5 and were demanding that a ₦100million ransom must be paid in order to secure her safe release.

 
 

DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa who is the spokesman for Kano Police Command, confirmed the abduction of Sakina Bello disclosing that the police received a report of a missing person around 3pm on Tuesday and started investigating the matter immediately and hopefully there will be fruitful efforts to trace her whereabouts.

BUK spokesman Lamara Azare said the Bayero University, Kano has not been on session since July, and will resume on November 1. In his words;

 
 

“We are not on session. We have no any student residing on campus, and we have not received any incident of abduction of any student,” he said.
