Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo state, and the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district at the 9th Nigerian Senate, has accused the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of taking advantage of his Igbo brothers and sisters.
Sen. Okorocha made these claims while speaking on an interview with Arise TV. He said that Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of the Igbo’s unhappiness and naivety to gather members and loyalists for himself.
He continued by sayin that most Southeast youths are not secessionists but angry Nigerians who’re railing against the system, making them easy targets for IPOB’s agenda.

“The issue of IPOB is very controversial and they are the agitations of some young men seeking for relevance who even disrespected me during my tenure as a governor; I don’t see them as secessionists.
“They had been told that the rest of the country hates them. Nnamdi Kanu is a smart man who got these people to think as he wanted,”
Recall that former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi said that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s agitagtion for IPOB was only possible because of decades and decades of bad governance which the people had endured for generations.
He said that agitation of a Yoruba Nation by Sunday Igboho (real name, Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo) wouldn’t be possible if the system cared for the people, same way the people cared for the system.
