Raheem Sterling wins December Premier League Player of the Month

England and Manchester City striker, Raheem Sterling, named the December Premier League Player of the Month after he amassed the highest votes.

The England international was very crucial for his club in December as Machester City won 5 of ther December Premier League matches.

 
 

Raheem Sterling scored five goals in those matches and provided one assist to land himself the EPL Decemeber Premier League Player of the Month Award.

 
 

This is the first time in three years Sterling will be winning the EPL player of the month award, and also the first Manchester City player to win the award this season.

He won the award ahead of team-mate Joao Cancelo, who was also nominated. In his thank you speech which was quoted on the club’s website, Raheem said;

 
 

“I am delighted to win this award again – but December was an amazing month for the whole team,” “The Premier League is the most challenging competition in the world, so to win all seven of our league games throughout the month of December is incredible.

 
 
 

“Contributing to those wins with goals has felt good and that makes me happy. “Hopefully we can continue this form because 2021 has been brilliant for us.

 
 
 
 

“All of us want to win trophies at the end of the season and that is what our aim will be from now until then
