Police in Anambra state have saved 3 suspected robbers from facing jungle justice and potential lynching to death by a mob who’re obviously angry and were ready to descend on the suspect.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who is the Anambra stat police command PPRO, while representing the state commissioner of police, CP Echeng Echeng, gave the name of the suspects as Ifeanyi Nsiegbunam ‘M’ 23years, Chinemelum Nwafor ‘M’ 27years, Nnamdi Nwakwesili ‘M’ 40yrs.
The commissioner stated that an intervention by the police saved the trio from angry mob who were already beating and pounding on them with intention to set them ablaze, after they (the suspects) dispossessed a student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, of her belongings. After the police took custody of the criminals, some incriminating items found and recovered from them and they are:
one locally made single barrel pistol,
a white coloured dagger,
a big saw, a big hammer,
a black and brown coloured lady’s bag,
an Infinix phone,
a black Panasonic phone and three(3) phone chargers.

The CP who was full of thanks to the public for the arrest of the three suspects and for their continuous assistance to the Police in the fight against crimes in the State, motivated them to always follow due process by handing over arrested suspects to the Police, instead of resorting to jungle justice
