Moms and elderly women in Akure, the Ondo state capital are reportedly protesting on the streets half n*ked over the incessant lapses in security across their various communities which makes their life to be in constant danger against the notorious fulani herdsmen.

The protest which was reported by many as peaceful, was seen in some communities such as Oka Akoko, Akungba Akoko, as well as other Akoko towns.
Reports by Punchnews reads that the Saturday protest was to be triggered by the recent kidnap of teachers by some bandits in Auga Akoko,

the killing of a police officer by unknown gunmen at Oka Akoko last week, and the attack of 17 travellers on Ifira Akoko-Isua Akoko road by armed robbers among others.
Some out of the hundreds of women across the four local government areas of Ondo State, were half naked as they staged protests on Saturday, against the spate of insecurity in the area.
This protest by these women have been conducted in 2019 after reports of several killings and rapes by the fulani herdsmen, who invade their settlement, destroy their crops, rapes and even kill several of them
