Nigerians across several social media in the country have tagged the executive governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu as the #500nairagovernor using several funny Memes. 

 
 

The #500nairagovernor meme was born after the governor of Abia state boasted that he pays ₦500 naira to pregnant women who deliver their babies in any of the government owned healthcare centers in any of the local government areas across the state.

 
 

In reaction to the developed which several users tagged as a really shameful development, Nigerians tagged the man the Executive Governor of ₦500 Naira in series of funny memes which reads;

Gosh, that was so embarrassing and shameful.

 

The governor when asked what could 500 do for a pregnant woman or someone who just had her baby, the governor replied saying;

 
 

“Are you asking a poor woman, what will she do with ₦500? Some people don’t have it.” “At least it will pay their way back home.”

 
 
Several users called out to governor to make sure that his daughter in-law gives birth to any of the local health centers in the state so that he can pay her 500naira as he promised after delivery.
