Nigerian University Students Protest Across The Country Over ASUU Strike

The National Association Nigerian Students (NANS), across the states of the federation and the FCT, today began their planned protest to call the attention of the FG over the ongoing strike by the The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The ongoing strike took a huge negative action last week after the The Academic Staff Union of Universities, demanded 1trillion naira from the federal government.

 

The students who have already began a new semester were left stranded at their various schools after the strike action was announced. Most of them complained that they’ve their house rents for the year which are mostly non-refundable.

 

The were seen with placards and T-shirts with several inscriptions on them which says;

 

Studying in a federal university in Nigeria is not a crime, education is our right not a privilege. Stop ruining our life plan
