The Nigerian Super Falcons have been seen in a trending video, stranded at the Abuja international Airport around 1am at night, after the won Ivor Coast 1nill,to qualify for the AFCON women’s competition.

On their return to Nigeria from Abidjan on Thursday morning, the team said they arrived at around midnight and have been stuck at the airport for 4 hours ”because of Covid.”

The Nigerian Super Falcons had an amazing performance, after they booked their place at this year’s Africa Women Cup of Nations in Morocco.

 

Their 1nill victory over the Lady Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in Abidjan on Wednesday evening, February 23, solidified their spot at Morocco, The team qualified with a 3 – 0 aggregate after the previous 2 – 0 victory in Abuja last Friday.
