Nani Tries Talking to Cristiano Ronaldo not to Leave Manchester United, But Ronaldo said he’s so busy now

Former Manchester United star, Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha ComM, fondly known to many as Nani, has tried to urge his former national and club team mate, Cristiano Ronaldo, to consider staying at Manchester United instead of leaving.

This is coming after Ronaldo missed out on several pre-season training sessions with the Red Devils and their new coach, Erik Ten Hag. He was subsequently left out of the squad for the Manchester United Pre-Season tour. Reports said that about 5 clubs have rejected an offer to buy the 5 time best men footballer of the year.

 

Nani while speaking at Melbourne, Australia, on Friday night, July 16, said that he has tried to reach Ronaldo to speak with him but Ronaldo said he’s been so busy lately. Nani in his words, said;

“When he’s on vacation he doesn’t answer the phone to anybody,” Nani said. “I tried to talk to him, but he said: ‘I’m so busy now, we’ll talk soon’.

 

“I hope (he stays). He’s an important player and a player who always makes a difference. I hope he’s in a good mood to help the club, so hopefully.”

 

Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo played together as teammates at Old Trafford for 2 seasons, and 11 years as Portugal teammates
