Names of Husband and Wife Including 2 Rev. Sisters who Died at Nawfia Along EnuguOnitsha Expressway

A shocking accident rocked Anambra state on the evening of Tuesday, April 12, 2022, when a Toyota Hiace clashed with Toyota Highlander at Nawfia, along Awka/Onitsha Expressway, and claimed the lives of 5 passengers at the spot.



The names of occupants of the 2 vehicles who were all burnt to crisp have been identified as Mr Emmanuel Okeke, fondly known as (Emma premier), a former Anambra State Government Storekeeper, and the wife.



The occupants of the Toyota Hiace were Rev. Sr. Virginia Obike and Sr. Monica Ilem, both Principal and Bursar, who were both Nuns working at the Handmaid’s Secondary School, Amansea, Awka North LGA, and their driver, Mr Chamberlain Umunakwe.




The trio were traveling to Amansea from Ifite-Ogwari, Ayamelum LGA, where they went to purchase bags of rice for the school wen the sad incident happened.



An eyewitness, Mr. Chinecherem Okonkwo from Nawfia, said he arrived the accident scene yesterday night during light rainfall when the vehicles were still burning, but it was late for any meaningful help.
