Mason Greenwood Released on Bail After Spending 3 Days in Jail, Asked not to Leave Town Because of Pending Investigation

Mason Greenwood has been released on bail conditions by the police following his arrest on Sunday over after his girlfriend, Harriet Robson, released photos of what suggested that Mason assaulted her.



This made his club, Manchester United to suspend him from training and playing, stating that the club have zero tolerance for abuse of any kind. The club added:

“As previously communicated, Mason Greenwood will not train with, or play for, the club until further notice.”


His sponsors, Nike, on Tuesday indefinitely suspended their partnership with him, an earlier Nike statement read:


“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.


Which was then followed by Electronic Arts Games, having his name removed from the FIFA 2022 video game. A spokesperson from the game’s manufacturer Electronic Arts said:



“Mason Greenwood has been removed from active squads in FIFA 22 and has also been suspended from appearing in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) packs and Ultimate Draft.”


The police had earlier arrested Mason on assault and Rape charges, but later released a statement that needed more time to conduct their investigation, as a fresh audio recording suggested that he made attempt to rape his girlfriend.


It was already not looking so good for him when an murder attempt charge was brought upon the 20-year-old striker.


Mason Greenwood made his debut in 2019 and has since made 129 appearances for Manchester United.


He made his senior England debut in 2020 and he’s currently the youngest player to have scored in a EURO completion.
