The Lagos state executive governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has visited the scene of the collapsed building along Mosley Road in Ikoyi. Sanwo-Olu had visited the site of the incident earlier today at about 1 am, reports indicate.

Earlier before his unannounced visit On Tuesday, the governor had ordered the suspension of the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA, Gbolahan Oki.
The governor’s presence to the scene boosted the confidence of many, which includes the first responders and several officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), as well as volunteers, friends and relatives of persons who are still trapped under the rubbles.

But sadly, there cant be wins without few losses, there’s been several persons who have been saved from the rubbles but the death toll is now 22, which is almost 4 times the number as of Monday.
The governor has promised to bring all who’re responsible for this justice, especially after it was learned that the approved plan was for 15-storey building but the owner went and constructed 22-storey building, and still continued constructing even after it was sealed off in mid 2020.
