Lagos Govt Orders Indefinite Closure Of Dowen College

There are yet to be confirmed reports that The Lagos State Government has ordered for the indefinite closure of Dowen College, Lekki, pending the outcome of an investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a student of the school.



This is just few hours after the management of the Dowen college account that the school will be going on a 2-day break starting from this weekend and Monday.



Commissioner for Education Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the closure after a meeting with the School Management and Staff.


Just as the parents of the 12-year-old boy, who urged Nigerians not to stage any protest in solidarity for their boy, The Commissioner also called for calm, saying no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident.
