Police officer in Kabete, Kenya has gone on a shooting spree, shooting randomly, killing 4 locals his wife and himself. It is still unclear as to what transpired in his head that led him to release such carnage. 

Angry locals who took to the local police station to protest the incident were partially dispersed by the police who shot canisters of tear gas while barricading their main gate entrance.

According to the the police Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the officer first shot his wife at their apartment using his service riffle, took tot he streets to shoot dead another four people, which includes two boda boda (motorcycle) riders, two fellow officers before turning the gun at himself.

Angry youths set tires ablaze on the streets causing blackaged to commercial and private road users as they demanded answers.

A similar incident has happened before in Kenya,11 years ago where a police officer in Siakago town, shot 10 people dead including two of his colleagues. A police spokesman said at the time the officer tried to shoot himself but had run out of ammunition, forcing him to surrender to police.
