The officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been accused of refusing to conduct PVC registration for Igbo traders who came at the registration center to register and get their PVC.
The Igbo traders who lamented against the tribal discrimination that they received at the registration venue, said that closed down their businesses at the popular Alaba International Market just to avail themselves the opportunity, but sadly the officials refused to register them.
Recall that an announcement was made earlier on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, that all Igbo traders (both bosses, apprentices and sales girls and cashier), would close down their shops on Thursday, June 9, 2022, and register themselves and get their PVC’s or face the penalties.
In an unexpected turnout of events, several Igbo traders who complied with the announcement, expressed sadness over the unruly treatment that they meted at the registration centers.
In some of the videos obtained by LatestNGnews.com, a guy was seen saying that the Yoruba INEC officials threatened the only female INEC official working at the center that she would be arrested by the army, if she goes behind orders, and register any Igbo man or woman at the venue.
