One Mr Darlington Ugboaja have been reportedly beaten to death at Anara market in Imo state when a Methamphetamine, popularly known as Mkpuru mmiri, was found on him.

 
 
 

Punch News reported that the incident and death of the 27 year old Darlington Ugboaja has caused panic in the area which led to traders locking up their shops and fleeing the area.

 
 
 

A kinsmen of the deceased who spoke to PunchNews men revealed that the deceased was seen coming out of a bunk where the susbstance was known to be sold, in his words;

 
 
 

”They saw him coming out from a bunk were drugs are sold. They suspected he had Mkpurummiri in his possession. They quickly searched him and found the substance. They immediately tired his hands on an electric pole and started beating him.

 
 
 

“He lost consciousness and he was rushed to Anara Health Centre but unfortunately there was no doctor on duty. They rushed him to another hospital at Umunachi where he was pronounced dead ”

 
 
 

This is coming just 1 week after the Governors and IPOB released an order banning all activities involving the sell and use of Crystal Meth, popularly known as Mkpuru mmiri in the south – east.
