A certain Nigerian couple has caused a stir online as they went about their own ways adorning the traditional isi-agi dress on their wedding day, instead of the regular white wedding Suit or Tux and Wedding Gown.

The couple wouldn’t be the first to pull such stunts on their white wedding day, there was a report sometime ago where a a couple had full Igbo attire on their weeding which was done privately.

The bride wore a ball dress made from isi-agu, with her hair pulled back in a low ponytail and elaborate celestial headpiece, the groom wore a two-piece isi-agu outfit and neck beads accessory and waist cord.

Their decision and act of wearing full isi agu attire on their wedding day was praised by many but didn’t go without getting some critics.

Many of the comments which was against them were pointing out that isi agu is a traditional wear which should be worn with respect and dignity.
