Heartland Football Club of Owerri, Protest over 9 Months Unpaid Salaries. They were seen wearing their club jersey with several placards on the road as they did a gentle walking protest.

Some of the words written on the placards are – pays us our salaries, it is our right to be paid after work,

None of the protesting footballers talked to the camera, the insisted that their placards and what’s written on it are says everything about why they’re protesting.

Several internet users frowned at the news of the 9 months unpaid salary and called out the officials in charge, saying that it is inhumane!

There were also unconfirmed reports that the governor of Imo State, H.E. Sen. Hope Uzodimma, signed the release of their salaries 3 months ago, but the protest of these footballers suggests that their money wasn’t paid.
