Residents of Enugu, in the popular Holy Ghost area of the metropolitan city of Enugu town, were put to confusion and scared of their lives, after some armed men suspected to be Monday sit-at-home enforcers, burned a vehicle to the ground for violating the sit-at-home order.
LatestNGnews.com gathered that the vehicle which belonged to a driver and indigene of the state, was for an inter-sate trip when some armed men stormed his loading dock, dispersed his passengers and set his vehicle ablaze.
The driver who spoke to LatestNGnews.com in anonymity, stated that he wasn’t near where his vehicle was loading, and that he has been loading very early on Monday’s even when the sit-at-home was more strict that it has become in recent times.
At first when I saw them near my open vehicle while I was waiting for passengers, I assumed they were armed robbers, so I made myself scarce, by the time I looked back, to see what was happening, my Sienna was up in flames.
“I learned that about two persons were shot dead in that short period of time and one of them was a passenger who has already boarded the car.
