The executive governor of Anambra state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has spoken against the assassination attempt on the life of Sen. Ifeanyi Uba of YPP, representing the Anambra South Senatorial District.

LatestNGnews.com reported earlier that Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, who hails from Nnewi, one of the town in Anambra, narrowly escaped his assailants who attacked his convoy at Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu road in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Condemning the attack, Soludo in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, said the government was fully determined to wipe out every act of criminality in the State. According to him, “this is the last ditched-effort of a sinking boat” by these criminal elements

He reassured that all security agencies in the state are now on full alert to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous attack. The governor further noted that the attackers of the senator would be made to face the full wrath of the law when apprehended.
The Governor also commiserated with the families of the senator’s aides who lost their lives as well as the State Commissioner of Police, for the policemen who also lost their lives.
