A man who has been dubbed “A Good Samaritan” has been shot dead by kidnappers in Abuja when he tried to intervene to stop the kidnap of another man.

The victim was on Gana Street, in Maitama, when he saw kidnappers dragging a man out of his car.

He walked up to the kidnappers and asked why they were dragging the man and the kidnappers shot him and absconded with their victim.

The Good Samaritan died on the spot. Several posts from social media users confirmed the incident, as on the of user with handle @ibrahimygana, reveal that the shot victim is his cousin.
