Fully Loaded Petrol Tanker Explodes in Mile 2 close to Signal Barrack

A petrol laden tanker has exploded up in flames at Mile 2 close to Signal Barrack, Lagos state. The fire started on Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2022.

Emergency response team, operatives of Rescue Service, and Men of the Lagos State Fire service, were on-ground are combating intense Fire at an articulated Motor Park, in Otto Wharf, Mile 2 area of Lagos state.

 

A statement released by the agency says the fire started from a tanker carrying diesel that exploded at about 3:44pm. It is unclear if there are any casualties from the incident.

 

A sit-rep which was sent to LatestNGnews.com around 6:22pm on the evening of Tuesday, July 19, 2022, confirmed that the fire was still raging an the fire fighters were on top of their game trying to combat the furnace.

Our eyewitness who pledged anonymity  wrote to us, said;

 

I am standing on top Mile 2 bridge right now witnessing the intense fire and the dark flames as a result of tanker explosion carrying diesel at 3:44pm. The inferno is serious as it’s still burning and this is 6:22pm.
