
Friends are mourning a travel content creator who was shot dead by gunmen. Eboh George, an Asaba-based vlogger known for making documentaries that showcase the lifestyle in several parts of Nigeria, was killed on Tuesday, October 11.

He had travelled to film in Benue and Enugu state and was travelling back to Asaba from Benue state when he and other travellers were ambushed at four corners junction, along Enugu-Umuahia Expressway.
He was shot dead alongside one other traveller. Others were kidnapped. Eboh left his wife and son abroad and returned to Nigeria with the aim of showcasing the beauty of the country to the world through his videos. A facebook user, Ogechukwukamma Abia, shared a story about Eboh’s life and death, in a post which reads;

It is sad to learn that a man, a young man that brought Southeast and Igboland to the pictures through his numerous Igbocentric videos was gruesomely murdered by dare devil kidnappers.
When I saw a pop-up YouTube video of how Eboh Gee died and his biography, I thought it was one of his contents to draw attention.
Not until I opened the link this morning before dashing, did I know that truly this dedicated young man was indeed killed. This is sad and devastating to say the least. He was only 30 and life was snuffed out of him. He will be buried on the 9th of November.
