The former Super Eagles players headed by team captain, J.J Okocha visited the presidential hopeful former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, at his residence in Lagos.

The Nigerian football veterans who paid the visit includes former Eagles’ goalkeepers – Peter Rufai, Ike Shorunmu, and Dosu Joseph, Ex-Eagles’ captains Austin JJ Okocha, and Nwankwo Kanu, defenders: Taribo West and Uche Okechukwu, Obafemi Martins, Tijani Babangida, Victor Ikpeba, and Mutiu Adepoju.
Other ex-Super Eagles that visited Tinubu were Julius Aghahowa, Victor Agali, Garba Lawal, and Duke Udi.

The visit was a prelude to a novelty match the former football stars organized to honour Tinubu on his 70th birthday. The match is scheduled for today, Sunday, by 2 pm at Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
