The prestigious event was attended by including the former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi, Gov. Willie Obiano, Governor-Elect, Prof CC Soludo, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Former Chairman of Police Service Commission, Chief Simon Okeke, Senator Ben Obi, among others.
Glowing tributes were expected at today at the Symposium in honour of the Former United Nations Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, which already started when the chairman of the occasion, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo landed at the Anambra state International passenger and Cargo Airport in Umureri.

At the Maiden Symposium, the Chief Emeka Anyaoku Institute For International Studies and Diplomacy will be opened, which came after the former military and democratic head of rated the Anambra airport, high, in terms of standard and class.
Speaking during the event’s prelude at the Vice Chancellor’s office, Governor Obiano who expressed delight for the privilege of receiving the former president noted that Anambra is the light of the Nation, having made appreciable remarkable progress since creation.
The Governor expressed optimism that the lecture series will go a long way to immortalize Chief Anyaoku who is well-accomplished and popularized the state with his good name.
