The wife of  Kano state governor First Lady Hafsat Ganduje Arrested by EFCC , over a bribery and land fraud case reported by her son, Abdulazeez Ganduje.

Premiumtimes reports that Mrs Ganduje had earlier been invited to report to the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters on September 13 but the first lady didn’t honour that invitation which forced the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to threaten to arrest her.

However, sources close to First Lady Hafsat Ganduje later disclosed that she had earlier travelled to the UK at the time to attend the graduation ceremony of one of her other sons.

An eyewitness who pledged anonymity, told Premiumtimes that First Lady Hafsat Ganduje was arrested this (Monday) evening.” 4th October 2021

Abdulazeez had dragged his mum, Hafsat Ganduje, to the EFCC, sources familiar with the matter said, suggesting a pattern of corruptly using family access to power for private enrichment.
