Falconets Beat Canada 3 – 1, Advances to Quarter-Final in FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup


Nigerian Super Falconets has beat Canada 3 – 1 in the ongoing FIFA U-20 women’s world cup in Costa-Rica. With this latest winning, the Falconets rounded off their group stage campaign in style. 

 

The match was played on Thursday morning, August 18, at the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto. Nigeria’s Esther Onyenezide netted twice from the penalty spot and another goal in the second half by Chioma Olise

 

This is the Super Falconets’ biggest wining in the ongoing FIFA U-20 women’s world cup in Costa-Rica, after they started with a 1nill clean win over France, and another 1nill over South Korea

The feat enabled them to finish with nine points in Group C, and will now take on The Netherlands in their quarter-final clash in Alajuela on Monday August 22.
