World’s richest man, Elon Musk, has hinted he is interested in buying Manchester United Football club. The Tesla ceo who is known for posting memes several times on this twitter page, made this revelation in a tweet he made on on his verified handle on Tuesday.

 

Elon Musk who was linked with a purchasing of tweeter months ago, backed out of the deal and claimed that twitter at the time was not worth the price the company had placed it, adding that several of the accounts on the platform are bots and not real human users.

 

Before Elon made his tweet of buying Man U, it is worth mentioning that the fans and supporters of the 13 times EPL champions have protested in recent years against the American Glazer family, who bought the club in 2005, due to the team’s struggles on the pitch, since after Sir Alex Ferguson resigned from coaching.

As of Tuesday’s close, Manchester United football club had a market capitalisation of $2.08 billion, and the Glazer family did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but the anti-Glazer movement in the club supporters have gained more momentum since last year after Manchester United were involved in a failed attempt to form a breakaway European Super League.
