
The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested and paraded 11 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin, for alleged involvement in internet crimes.

The anti-graft agency’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, said this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja. He also said that some items were confiscated at the point of the arrest of the suspects.
He said the suspects were arrested on Thursday morning with Lexus RX330, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Venza, laptops and mobile phones recovered from them.

Uwujaren said the suspects had made useful statements and would be charged to court upon completion of investigation. Recall that the Enugu Zonal Command of the Commission on March 15, arrested 13 suspects over alleged internet fraud.
The suspects were arrested during a sting operation at the Nsukka and Emene axis of Enugu State following some verified intelligence by the EFCC.
