
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has finally arrested the Mr Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo state, after the broke down doors and ceilings to gain access into his home.

He was arrested in his Abuja residence after he didn’t honour an invitation of the anti-graft agency. Some resistance were met but the operatives of the EFCC broke his doors and ceiling to gain access into his home and arrest him.
Speaking on his arrest, Mr Wilson Uwajuren who is the EFCC’s spokesperson, had said earlier that the anti-graft agency’s operatives were at the Senator’s home to bring him to stand trial before a federal high court in Abuja for allegedly conspiring with five companies and others to steal N2.9bn in public funds.

Other defendants standing trial in the case include Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited.
